Karamanlis: Typical Pushkar Macedonian

Mr Karamanlis at the age of 25 years above above.
He was been born in 1907 in the Macedonian village of Gorno Brodi which is located in the Serres prefecture of Aegean Macedonia.
Konstantinos [Karamanlis] was born on 23 February 1907 in the mountainous Macedonian town Gorno Brodi of the region of Serres.
In his official Greek bibliography it is written falsely that Karamanlis had been born in 1907 in the Turkish town [Kioypkoi] (Küpköy) Serres that was later renamed in 1920. In the Ottoman files of Mr Karamanlis has him registered with the Macedonian surname “Karamanov” which later forefully it was changed to Konstantinos [Karamanlis]. At the age of 5 years he remained an orphan, seperated from his parents, he was adopted by a family in Solun that was also Macedonian but had been absorbed in the Greek circles of the city.
