What an irony! Most of the Greek - Turkish associations endeavored here are words of Greek origin, as any half-witted linguist can ascertain. To be expected, of course, since the two peoples lived adjacent to each other for hundreds of years. In fact the turks, originally a nomadic people with rudimentary diction borrowed heavily from the more advanced Greek. The real irony, though, is that a modern Greek has at his disposal existing Greek diction dating as far back as Homer's times to replace any Turkish remnants used within modern Greek. However, if a self-acclaimed "Macedonian" Slav were to take out all the Greek words borrowed into his/her language, he/she would not even be able to say "telephone", let alone express any other civilizing notions such as "democracy", "philosophy" and hundreds of others. In other words a Slavophone would be limited to the rudiments of Bronze-Age diction! Show some respect...
